The deal, in language you can hold us to.
The short version. You are buying a licence to run Botsburg on your own computers, not buying the software itself. You keep everything your business creates with it. You may not copy it, resell it, or take it apart. Nothing it drafts goes out into the world without a human pressing yes — and because of that, what it produces is your responsibility to check.
A non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and run Botsburg on the number of computers your plan covers, for as long as your plan is current. Starter 1 · Business 3 · Enterprise 10 · Custom by agreement. The software is licensed, not sold.
We enforce seat limits in our database rather than in the app, precisely so this is a term with teeth rather than a request.
Everything your business puts into Botsburg, and everything the software produces for you, belongs to you. We claim no ownership over it. We hold no copy of it — see the Privacy Policy for exactly where it lives.
Botsburg drafts. You decide. Every outward-facing action — a reply, a quote, a post, a refund — waits for a human approval, and the software will not perform it otherwise.
AI can be confidently wrong. It can misread a contract, miscount a quantity, or write something in your name that you would not have written. You are responsible for what you approve. Read it before you press yes, especially where money, legal commitments, safety or someone's reputation is involved. Botsburg is not a lawyer, an accountant, a doctor or an engineer, and its output is not professional advice.
We will keep the software working, ship fixes, and tell you the truth about problems. We do not promise it will never make a mistake, never be unavailable, or suit a particular purpose. Third-party services it connects to — Google, your payment provider, your model provider — are outside our control, and if they change their rules, some features may have to change with them.
To the maximum extent the law allows, Botsburg Inc.'s total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.
Plans are billed as shown at checkout. If you are unhappy in the first 14 days, write to us and we will refund you — no argument, no interrogation. After that, cancel any time and your plan runs to the end of its paid period.
You are responsible for the mail that leaves your account, including compliance with anti-spam law — in Canada that is CASL, and its penalties are severe. Botsburg's approval gate exists partly to keep you on the right side of that. Do not use Botsburg to send unsolicited bulk email.
Do not use Botsburg to break the law, to harass anyone, to impersonate someone, or to build surveillance of individuals. The security employee is deliberately built around actions and events, never around identifying people by face, race or appearance, and it always reports a possible incident for a human to judge. Do not attempt to repurpose it otherwise.
You may stop any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms or does not pay, and we will tell you why. Sections 3, 4, 6 and 8 survive the end of this agreement.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. If a clause is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
