Email attachments live forever, get forwarded, and sit in inboxes you will never see. A Secured Link does not. You send a link instead of a file: it stops working on the date you set, it can only be opened the number of times you allow, and you can see every single open — who, when, from where. Close it early and it closes everywhere, including the copies already sent.
Pick a date, or an hour. After that the link is a dead end, wherever it has been forwarded to.
Three opens, or one. When they are used up, that is the end of it.
Change your mind an hour later and it closes everywhere at once. There is no copy sitting on a hard drive.
Who opened it, when, from what device and roughly where. Not a read receipt — a record.
Add a code the recipient needs, sent by a different channel, for anything that genuinely should not be opened by the wrong person.
